carry out preliminary road test
centralize the steering wheel (if necessary)
change engine oil + filter
change spark plugs
check air cleaner element (cerbera every service)
check all suspension fixings for security
check condition of steering joints, rack gaiters, ball joints and wishbones bushes
check cooling fans operation
check cooling system for leaks, hoses for security
check crank sensor for debris (cerbera only)
check distributor cap, ignition leads and low tension wires for deterioration
check drive belts condition, adjust/change if required
check engine breather/hoses for security and condition
check engine sensor connections for corrosion (cerbera only)
check exhaust system condition
check for fluid leaks from hydraulic pipes and unions (pas only)
check handbrake operation and lever security, adjust + lubricate if required
check headlight allignment and auxillary lights if fitted
check master cylinder and under bonnet grommets sealed, reseal if required
check operation of all electrical components (inc. alarm & a/con)
check seat belts operation & mountings
check security of ex manifold bolts (rover engines only)
check security of rocker covers (rover engines only)
check the condition of the engine + gearbox mounting rubbers
check throttles and linkage operation and lubricate where possible
check tyres for correct spec, and damage, road wheels for damage, refit to original position
check/adjust cambers front + rear
check/adjust engine setting on computer with engine at operating temperature (cerbera)
check/adjust throttle stop
check/adjust tracking front + rear
check/adjust tyre pressures (inc spare)
check/adjust/lubricate all hinges, doors boot and bonnet locks/catches
check/adjuster ignition timing + co, with engine at operating temperature (griffith & chimaera)
check/top up brake fluid
check/top up clutch fluid
check/top up diff oil
check/top up gearbox oil
check/top up pas fluid (where applicable)
check/top up windscreen washers and check wiper blade condition
inspect brake pads for wear, callipers for leaks, discs for condition, flexible hoses condition
remove all road wheels and apply anti-seize compound to hubs + wheel studs
remove front + rear pads + check for deterioration
road test the vehicle
valet vehicle + stamp service book
visually check complete underside of vehicle for faults/abnormalities
